How did you get started in fitness?
In 2011, I decided to get into the world of fitness because I needed a change and a new focus/direction. I was approached by a local well known trainer in Oklahoma City, Ok and began to train for my first bikini show. I became addicted to how you could workout and improve you body, mind and lifestyle. After four short months of training, I entered in the biggest state show in the United states and places 2nd. “Bodybuilding” has taught me so much about myself. It tests your strengths and will power. I has taught me discipline and how if you truly put your mind to something your desires through Hard work and dedication can be obtained.
How do you stay motivated?
Progress from setting small goals for myself is one things that keeps me motivated. After I started my journey into the fitness world. I also because addicted to helping people. There’s something about helping people that makes my clock tick. Especially when it’s for something as big as your health. I don’t care if I’ve helped one person or a bazillion. Ive Inspired people, I’ve given confidence back too people who thought that giving up was a much easier route, I’ve placed hope in people’s hearts and the spark back in their eyes and NOTHING is greater than that. In return this motivates me; to push my limits and to show people that IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.

What body part are you most proud of?
Im a big fan of working out my upper body because after I hit a good bi or shoulder workout I can instantly see the pump! Although since I am so lean and am able to build muscle fairly easily up top, I don’t hit those muscle groups but once a week!
What is the biggest fitness myth you encounter in the fitness industry
every day?
I’m a huge advocate for women and strength training so this is one misconception I am a huge believer in. Strength training shapes your body, defines your muscles, and gives you a lean physique so can put your fears to rest about getting big bulky muscles. The reason is that women do not produce as much testosterone as men, and testosterone is one of main hormones responsible for causing larger muscles. Strength training will increase your amount of muscle, which decreases your body fat percentage, and improve your overall body composition!
What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Ill find every excuse to go to someones party for some Cake with icing and
ice cream.
ice cream.
How do you deal with cravings?
Im a sweet tooth fanatic! I opt for healthy desserts like Mug Cakes and Homemade Protein Cookies.
What does your diet consist of?
When setting a fitness goal for yourself just doing exercise is not enough. To Optimize your results, you need to consider nutrition. Cut all processed foods. When you grocery shop stay on the out skirts of the grocery store; the isles are where you tend to find your boxed meals. Use food as fuel. I focus on eating every 3 hrs. I Incorporate lean proteins, Complex Carbs, lots of green veggies and good fats. Limit carbs at night. My last meal is usually protein/good fats. I don’t deprive myself I have a cheat meal once a week. My go-to cheats are fro-yo, burger, mexican. and during the week If i must Ill nibble on a piece of dark chocolate.
Which female fitness model’s physique do you admire the most?
Ahhh Thats a tough one to answer because there are so many beautiful strong women to choose from but Jaime Eason and Chady Dunmore (whom is a Fitness Gurl cover girl) are on the top of my “who inspires me” list. Jaime has appeared on hundreds of magazine layouts and yet still remains sincere and humble. She has changed lives of many, motivated people to do the unthinkable and I am absolutely in love with how she is open about her faith. Miss Chady is someone whom I’ve adored and I find her transformation story so inspiring. She’s beautiful inside and out. She understands the struggle and seems as through health/fitness has found her true fairy tale ending. I pray I am a positive role model and true inspiration to young ladies like these ladies have been to me.
